Texas Gulf Coast surfing magazine go digital
Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 13 July, 2010 : - - Sirfur Productions announces that Texas Gulf Coast Surfing Magazine will discontinue their print format in favor of the digital format. 'We reviewed our statistics and found that the digital version drew far more attention than the print copies. It has become obvious to us that digital media is here to stay and it’s only getting bigger.
From a business perspective, considering the small size of our run, it only makes sense to go 100% digital.' States company President Joe Vulgamore. There are other changes coming for the magazine as well.
• First off, the magazine will now be available Free. The digital magazine will be available at no cost on their website. Readers will also be able to download for off-line reading. • The frequency will increase from a quarterly publication to a bi-monthly release, and the page count will increase dramatically. • The move to the digital format is also good for reducing the costs for the advertiser. Advertisers will reach a wider audience than with the print version.
For the magazine’s paying subscribers, Vulgamore had this to say, “We will begin pro-rated refunds to any subscriber who requests one. Those subscribers can expect to receive a refund within 4 to 6 weeks of their request.
All requests for refund should be sent to sirfurproductions@gmail.com with a subject line of ‘Refund Request’”.
