Registration for Sima's athlete Management boot camp now open

Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 21 July, 2010 : - - Registration is now open for Athlete Management Boot Camp, presented by the Surf Industry Manufacturers Association (SIMA) with support from Wasserman Media Group. The event will be held on Wednesday, August 18, 2010, at the Ocean Institute in Dana Point, Calif., beginning with a group breakfast at 8:30 a.m. and concluding at noon.

“On behalf of the Board of Directors and the SIMA Education Committee, we are proud to present our first Athlete Management Boot Camp,” said Doug Palladini, SIMA President and VP of Marketing for Vans. “Athlete management is not only a crucial component to the surf industry, but one that is ever-changing and evolving as our sport, athletes and lifestyle continue to grow in the mainstream spotlight. 

At Athlete Management Boot Camp you’ll hear from some of our industry’s own experts, as well as from the preeminent managers and agents in the athlete management category, and learn best practices for managing athletes today, getting the most out of your signed athlete, what surf brands can learn from more mainstream athlete management, and more.”
